it does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop” – Confucius

For this month’s theme, I write about the culmination of hard work. It’s officially been a year since I started blogging (as seen here) but haven’t really announced it until October 2015.

Though the blogging community has grown so much in the UAE (while witnessing a lot of newcomers to the scene including myself), I can say that it is a fruitful endeavor. With the energy being put into writing, editing and networking, blogging can be very rewarding.

It’s been a good past year for exploring the possibilities in this field and there’s still so much to learn. All I know is that I’ve always enjoyed documenting my days and ideas, as well as writing in general – which makes blogging enjoyable. I’m happy to own several creative outlets to express myself with, even if my full time job is not at all creative.

A lot of people wonder why their efforts don’t pay off but I would say that’s absolutely untrue. What a person puts into the universe will come back to them in one way or another. In order to achieve the results they desire, they need to have perseverance. As long as a person is determined to get to where they want, their consistency in work will sooner or later result in something positive.

With regards to blogging, there’s a high density in the blogging market and people might feel nervous about getting engaged. In my opinion, nothing in this world is a competition unless you make it out to be. Although I do wish to prosper in this field, I’m not overly concerned about gaining fame and recognition; I ultimately wish to raise awareness about underlying occurrences and to also inspire my readers. To be appreciated for one good job is better than to be vaguely known for several inadequate ones. It’s great to be inspired by everything around us and to pursue what would make us succeed.

On another note: I’m excited about my upcoming projects and collaborations and can’t wait to share them on my blog with you all. Thanks for reading!
