– INTROSPECTION –

“a moment’s insight is sometimes worth a life’s experience” – Oliver Wendell Holmes

Not too long ago, my blog turned 1.

Not too long ago, I celebrated a graduation.

Not too long ago, we approached mid 2016.

Although this year has been a rather lazy one for me so far, I felt like I needed a long-deserved break. I required to take this time off to relax, breathe and reflect on the past few years. There are a lot of things I tend to be uncertain of but there are the things that I definitely choose to avoid, such as great emotional stress. However, I learned to let go of things and to welcome the future and what it holds.

This year, I met wonderful people, reunited with old friends, spent a lot more time with my family, came across some pleasant surprises and got to explore some parts of the world, as well as parts of my personality. We are in a constant state of growth and it is up to us to nourish our souls and bodies – and with that, we can choose to help those around us.

It’s important to sometimes sit back and evaluate our next step and progress. Doing so will promote a clarity of mind and help create healthy decisions. This is also a good way of controlling anxiety.

Here’s to more new beginnings. Today marks a new one and so will tomorrow – and so forth.

On another note: I understand that not everyone has the luxury of taking occasional breaks. And in all truth, I pray that everyone ultimately does what he/she desires. Goals are long-term commitments for what we believe is best for our future. it’s important to make decisions based on what we truly want.
